Within school, students are provided with a range of leadership roles and responsibilities. These include Ambassadors, House Captains and Vice House Captains, Librarians and Sport Leaders. These leadership roles are vital as they give students the opportunity to develop a range of skills including teamwork, leadership, problem solving, organisation, and advocacy.
The Ambassador Team comprises of 10 students from Year 9 to Year 11 who work with the Senior Leadership Team to offer student voice and bring about changes. Furthermore, they work to raise money for charity. The Ambassadors are also in charge of hosting events including Prize Giving, Open Evening, assemblies, and weekly inter-House competitions. Ambassadors have weekly meetings with Mr Haggett to discuss new ideas for activities and voice other students’ ideas of ways to improve the school.
For each House there are two House Captains and four Vice Captains; these students work with their Head of House to offer smaller leadership roles within each tutor group. As part of their role, they are also involved in helping to run Sports Day.
