At Long Field Spencer Academy, our vibrant House system is at the heart of school life, fostering a strong sense of community, belonging and pride among students and staff alike. Our four Houses Leo, Titan, Phoenix, and Thanos form the foundation of our commitment to building traditions, celebrating achievements, and raising standards.
Every student belongs to a House from day one at Long Field, selected during Year 6 Transition Day by our very own Sorting Hat — a fun and memorable introduction to Long Field life. Each House is made up of students from across all year groups, creating a vertical tutoring structure that encourages mentorship, teamwork and a supportive family atmosphere.
House Tutors are key staff members who meet with students daily during House Time, offering guidance and encouragement. Everything we do is underpinned by our core values: Ready, Respectful, and Safe.
