For a place at Long Field Spencer Academy
Parents of pupils in Year 6 have until 31st October 2026 to submit an application for a secondary school place for the 2027-28 academic year. You can find out more about the Local Authority’s admissions arrangements– including for in-year admissions – by clicking here.
We also offer a detailed transition programme for year 5 and 6 pupils to enable them to feel as confident as possible when starting at Long Field. We understand that this can be an anxious time for both parents and children and so we would like to make this as smooth as possible.
In addition to the work we do year round with our partner primary schools, we also provide monthly workshops on Wednesdays 4pm – 5.15pm. Our year 7 students and parents regularly comment on how valuable these workshops were in helping both parents and children feel part of the Academy very quickly. If you would like further information please contact school on help@longfieldspencer.org.uk
Should you have further questions or if you wish to come and look around the Academy then please contact Chris Haggett, Principal on 01664 56 1234 or by email help@longfieldspencer.org.uk
The admissions policy including details of our catchment area can be found here.
